Additional Details:

Reports are the cost to dump JVR are "ridiculous" as it's known what the Flyers intentions are and 25/32 teams across the league are slammed to the cap ceiling. I think they'll inevitably have to part with the Florida 1st to get his contract off, but I think at a minimum they will make an attempt to recoup some assets that could be impactful players on the team next season

I could also see The flyers trading the 2024 Pick for a lower pick similar to the Petr Mrazek Deal. I really find it hard to believe it would be just a straight cap dump so I agree we might get something back.

I think if it really took that much to get rid of the full 7 million of JVRs contract the Flyers would just opt to retain a bit to lower the price.
