I don't mind being a GM, at this rate I actually think I could do better job than most NHL gms, but frankly I think that applies to a plenty of us.

As for living under the same roof, I very much doubt that

We will talk about that again soon, and you should be a gm. Go reach your dreams

My prediction if that Malkin goes to NSH with 4 x 7.1 deal.

If Kane (P) decides to be moved, reportedly Colorado is gonna take a swing. They may be hesitant to move on Malkin if that’s true.

Why?

Because the McDonagh acquisition and Forsberg signings point to the direction that NSH is trying to contend and NSH has couple of young Russian prospects that would to get Malkin as their mentor as he's one of the most renowned Russian players that is active right now.

Honestly based on CJ's comments Samsonov to Toronto makes to much sense

As he said they wanted to find the next Campbell, a guy who wasnt given a proper chance or a guy they feel they could take to the next level and make a starter/tandem guy

Well theres a guy on the market who is that very description

Ilya Samsonov

Bring him and one of Reimer and Murray in and your good

So San Jose is cleaning house - moving bodies for new bodies and new face to take on new roles.

It’s going to be interesting to see what more they plan to do - I think if you decide to not keep Dahlen (good year yet buried by Bob and injuries) then you have to trade Labanc to bring in some of the new RFA/ UFA options.

It’ll be even more interesting if they decide to not move Reimer or Hill.. Grier is really turning a new leaf.

No idea why Chicago isn’t qualifying Strome/Kubalik + buying out Borgstrom, at least buying out Connolly makes sense.

I’ll give my thoughts on all the other stuff later

I've lost all faith in GMBM. Said they wont sign someone with Backstrom's money but they also won't pay the former first rounder who still has potential and lose him for nothing?

Only way this works out is if they agreed to a UFA deal which I cannot see happening. Pathetic.

Plus last week GMBM said they would give Sammy the qualifying offer

Everything here makes sense. Hopefully the Robertson and Oettinger signings will be announced tomorrow.

A ton of head scratching RFA decisions across the league - it’s gotta be the flap cap and arb weariness. The whole league is getting a massive turnover in quality talent. Some teams are gonna lose big, but some teams are gonna gain big.

Going to be fun to watch the major movement that’s coming (on top of the already large changes)

Nawh.

He's another middle 6 winger that wants 3m +
His shooting percentage was almost an NHL all time high so he'll likely regress next year. He was offered a contract but decided to test the market.

They simply didn't want an independent arbitrator to decide Pitlick's contract. Thing is, while Pitlick overproduced, it's a very very small sample size to warrant a $3M deal. Can't see it going over $1.5M.
