Committing 7 years x $7M to a soon to be 31 year old forward cannot be viewed as perfect in my book.

Do you honestly think Campbell is the answer? I know I dont. I also dont think Murray is the answer.

Would have been nice to be able to pull the trigger on Geogiev who actually could have been the answer

I think in the end Kane is not going to get that big of a deal. I think he gets $6mill x 4. Not alot of teams in the league are going to be eager to sign a guy with his track record to 7 yrs. Also, i would think most GM's are smart enough to realize his numbers were majorly inflate playing along side McDavid.

Also your 4th line is grimace They need to improve the bottom 6 not essentially keep it the same, and actually moving Foegele made it worse.

If they end up keeping Barrie no way he can be paired with Broberg.

The smart play on Evander Kane is not to play, at least not right away. Although the pressure to move Barrie has been relieved somewhat, I think it would still be prudent to send him elsewhere and free up a bit more cap space. I'm not sold on the idea of moving Foegele yet, and I think the Oilers can afford to give him another year to figure out his issues with consistency. If nothing else, he provides some competition and an alternative on the third line.

I completely agree, but Kane wants 7x7 and that's basically all hell take from us
