Would need a good prospect and a 1st to get Gavrikov minimum. Leaning towards him being extended this summer though by Columbus.

Maybe 2 firsts honestly and they'd be late firsts so I wouldn't be thrilled even then. Tyson Barrie is a cap dump considering CBJ's needs.

Wish people would start being more careful with the term cap dump.... loose tons of creditability when calling quality players on fair contracts cap dumps. Completely different from Columbus may not need a player such as Barrie.

Personally I'm all for keeping Barrie hate the idea of brobergs first real shot at cracking nhl line up being on his offside thats just making life alot more difficult on him and if he cant cut it then we have a huge problem that was easy to avoid.
With no extra d brought in my thoughts are
Nurse Barrie have been really good together in the past because both are very mobile.
Kulak bouch kulak basically just moves up the line up with Keith departure but looked really good reasonable bet.
Broberg ceci I'd want a veteran playing with broberg can that bring just a calm cool presence keeps things simple.

Weird point, but ok.

Barrie had a replacement level impact despite putting up points. He's getting paid $4.5 million to be, at best, a bottom pairing defenseman. Doesn't sound like a quality player or a fair contract to me. You can argue the semantics of the term cap dump all you want, but he's negative value to CBJ.

Its thanks to Barrie Edmonton beat LA in the first round... if that's replacement level impact sign me up for more replacement level players.

Broberg is playing on the right side in camp, played the right at the U18s, he's versatile

Ya but it's the NHL hardest league in the world. I know he has experience on that side but I personally wouldn't take that risk until he's proven steady on his strong side.
