Description
Stars are looking to improve their top 6, and Kubalik and Puljujarvi do just that. They also need a RHD to replace Klingberg (don't need an offensive D-man to replace him, Miro and Harley can become that, but do need an RHD). Hronek IMO is worth Damiani, Back, and the 2nd, and taking Faksa's contract gets them another prospect and 3rd round pick. For Puljujarvi, I was looking at other ACGM's to see what an average value would be. Dobby should be healthy by the start of the season, even if EDM lands Campbell, Dobby would be a perfect backup if Smith retires/LTIR, so Skinner can be the starter in the AHL and actually play, rather than being on the bench for 55 games. Stars did that with Oettinger and he turned out alright. Kubalik is a FA signing. Robo on the bridge deal to help with cap, and it expires when Benn's contract is up and the cap should be much higher by then, so Robo will be able to get a nice extension then. Otter on a similar deal to what Nedelkjovic got after his rookie year.

Rather just keep Hronek, although I’m game for moving him. Better for the Wings to keep quality over quantity at this point, and that’s not to say Hronek is a superstar that will return an arm and a leg. Wings need those top pieces rather than bottom/middle six with some potential. Rather the Wings shoot for a 1st in 23’, which I’m not sure if Dallas would do not should.

This is a quantity over quality trade. Damiani could be a middle 6 winger down the road but with the forwards Detroit has he be in the bottom 6 with Faska and Bäck. Ertel just finished this freshman year and his production was average but at 19 that will probably improve. But he is a winger and Detroit doesn't need wingers. Since Detroit doesn't have a replacement for Hronek and Lindstrom who is Detroit's 3rd pair RHD played too many minutes this season and towards the end of the season it showed. So its not like he can help eat up Hronek's 22minutes a game. So it this really doesn't make sense for Detroit.

Besides isn't Dallas the front runner for a Petry trade?
