That's pretty fair and realistic. Talbot lost his job to Fleury and has inconsistency issues

Talbot needs to be traded to Buffalo and I like this trade.

Buffalo GM is a big build through the draft guy. Acquiring a 35 yr goalie with 1 year left for a 2nd is a bit of a stretch. Sabres probably aren't making the playoffs next year so giving up that asset doesn't make sense.

Ya but Buffalo also needs a goalie. 2nd has a 30% chance of being a NHLer. 6th has next to no chance of being a NHLer (4%)

Then the 2nd has a better chance of improving Buffalo's franchise then a goalie for 1 year. They will probably just go with Anderson and Ukko-Pekka. Or sign a guy for a year in FA rather then waste a asset.

I get what your saying about the value of the pick, and it would probably work if it was a younger goalie with more term.
