Also how do you completely leave Pinto out as 3C at the rookie contract cap hit and move picks for 4.4 mill? Honestly, I'd rather have Pinto than Bennet anyways.

Sam Bennett is clearly a better player right now

I would say that Pinto is clearly going to be a better player than Bennett, so I would rather have him at 3C and develop at 825k than Sam bennet now at 4.4.
Pinto surpasses him by next year if he stays healthy for the whole season.

I don’t see that at all. Bennett is playing the best hockey of his career and he’s 26. He’s not going to get worse. He’s a solid 2nd centre but we can play him as a 3rd centre. We have no cap issues either with afford him.

Bennet also spent the season playing on the 2nd line with Huberdeau/Duke. No guarantee he puts up anywhere near as good a season playing 3C in ottawa. Much like the JP trades with Edmonton, you're risking another Johnathon Cheechoo scenerio.
