Rangers need centers not wingers. While the Rangers probably win this deal in terms of value it is not smart for them cap wise and need wise

That doesn’t get Blackwood plus Devils said they’re keeping him

Why would Strome sign in Toronto? So he can have the hometown fans rip him apart when he has 50 points instead of 70?

to come home and rack up points and attention playing with JT and Marner to rake on his next deal, and work towards winning at home

My thought was Chytil (for some reason) seems to be on the block, Kerfoot could play C as needed and the Rangers could use Sandin to improve the future outlook on LD

maybe, I've heard his name on the block. Underperforming goalies don't tend to get very big rewards on the trade market

Then why would they sell low on him rather than keep him?

well I personally wouldn't but GMs often do. Not saying I would do this as NJ but GMs often do stuff like this to win quicker (ie. Campbell as the immediate improvement)

What an optimist- I’ll give it 20 games before the Toronto media turns on him and he becomes their new whipping boy. Similar to how Canada treated him during the WJC’s
