Sharks Sign Marchment and Both Dylan and Ryan Strome and Trade Burns to DAL

Created by: CheechYou
Team: 2022-23 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 11, 2022
Published: Jul. 11, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I'm a FIRM believer that the situation with Vlasic is entirely contingent upon the Kane situation. If the grievance ends in SJ's favor, Vlasic plays out the year with the team. If not, then Vlasic is bought out and the extra cap space is used to retain ~2mil in a Kane deal to another team (while also recouping assets for SJ).

I think all 3 UFA's get more than that...
Hawks and Rangers would likely have signed the Strome's already if they were willing to take those deals, and Marchment is going to be looking at Goodrow and Coleman as comparable deals after they both got 6 years as 3rd liners last year

I don't think Dallas gives up a 1st for Burns.

I was thinking the same idea with both Strome and marchment, but i was planing on pairing the Strome's with Couture and Marchment with bordeleau.

You don't want 2 stromes on your team. Especially on the same line. Stromes need elite players to bank shots off of them to get points. Ryan had panarin feeding him and Dylan had Kane and Debrincat. The sharks don't have that elite talent to carry 1 strome let alone 2 stromes.

You still have no scoring winger, with Cooch. And leave Timo, Hertl, Barabanov Line alone.

Don’t think so but it’s not too far off with that salary retention. I think if we’re talking burns at that price, it likely goes something like a 2nd + a B+ Prospect like a Stranges or Dellandrea. I’d try to push more for Stranges as I think Dellandrea makes the NHL next season
