Let me be the first: LA doesn't want the aging Muzzin nor do they want to help TO (even though it's the perfect acquisition for them and their need)

If kings trade Iafallo it means they’re getting a player like chychrun. Sanheim. Provorov. Konecny.

NOT Muzzin. Keep dreaming

Trade him and all leaf fans will spend the entire year saying, we need a physical, defensively responsible defenceman in our top 4. I wouldn't trade him, but I would keep him with Brodie all year unless one of Sandin, or Liljegren can work with Muzzin.

So is Iaffalo one of the guys who won’t be dealt? I was trying to figure out a Muzzin trade with his no-trade that made sense for both teams. LA is really good and really close and a veteran defensive dman is a nice addition I think. Plus with their insane center depth, it makes sense to be able to move some of it for another really helpful piece. Between Kopitar, danault, Kempe, Lizzotte, byfield, villardi, turcotte… iafallo seemed the most expendable but I’m happy to be wrong, that just seemed like one that would make sense.

I’ve seen a bunch of these armchair gms where muzzin gets shipped to like Arizona or Chicago but he isn’t going to those places, LA I think he would go back to, not sure where else he’d accept a trade that has that need.

I love Muzzin, but the Leafs have to change their philosophy and advance through with the young players they’ve developed, otherwise why do it? Sandin deserves a permanent shot in the lineup. Rielly isn’t going anywhere and gio just signed, muzzin may be the odd man out. I also love BOOSH so he can help mitigate the loss of Muzzin.

Probably. I don’t really understand how Murray to Toronto makes any sense.

Boosh really isn't that great. He's a bottom pair guy in a perfect world

it’s so nice to read these back and see Leafs fans expecting 50% retention and way more sweeteners for Murray, and that they got 25% and a 3rd round pick instead
