Easy no from Winnipeg. The trade doesn't make the Jets better now or in the future, so there's no incentive for them.

Short a couple of players, next year you're short 6m, average PLD will get even more overpaid than that.

Sharks aren’t paying that price for an unproven player who has yet to have an sense of an impact in the nhl

As a Ranger fan for 65 years, I don't see what all the fuss is about Vitali. Granted he has a short NHL resumé, but the only thing he has demonstrated so far is a remarkable talent for being unable to play defense. And you expect the Sharks, or any other NHL to give a 2nd rounder in return. I think not.

I agree with all the Jets fans who responded. It would take more than what is being offered for PLD for WPG to have any interest. PLD is a fine player, but he represents a "wrong target" for the NYR in my view. He has good production numbers, but he is no better than Ryan Strome at the dot. PLD is not a C, he is a LW. Andrew Copp is attractive because he is a C who is strong at the dot with production numbers like PLD. The NYR have an abundance of LW, Kreids, the Breadman, Filip, and Brennan Othmann waiting in the wings. The NYR need a strong #2C, not more LWs.
