Have you thought about feeding Nemeth to the fish? Kidding aside, the options you put out there are on my radar screen as well. One exception, Stastny, no old guys. Play the kids. My solution looks very much like yours!

As much as I don't want Stastny, I see the appeal. He's played under Gallant, he won't break the bank, has good metrics and can be a 2C or 3C. My issue is we already know if he comes here he will be the 2C blocking Chytil, which serves no purpose IMO. I won't go crazy if it is a 1 year deal, maybe he ends up being like Steve Rucchin was that one season for us, but history tells us most old players that come to the Rangers are unproductive or just get hurt.

burying Nemeth isn't a terrible idea - he only costs an extra $375K this season than his buyout would. I think either option should be on the table, though - his buyout has a weird structure where it has a $1M penalty this year, no penalty next year, and than back to $1M for 24-25/25-26. If you believe the hype about the cap going back to a big increase in the next year or two once the players have paid back their escrow debt, I think the buyout is an interesting gamble.

I think Calle Jarnkrok or Colin White would be interesting adds over Statsny, in case Rodrigues gets too pricey - Jarnkrok has the lower ceiling but higher floor to me, but I think White comes cheaper and could be a good reclamation project.

White would be a great pickup IMO provided he can stay healthy, however there is a lot of talk that he is highly coveted so not sure he will make it to the Rangers. I wouldn't complain about Jarnkrok and Rodrigues is a player Drury could have on top of his radar as he wants this team to get faster, which Rodrigues brings. Trocheck chatter has begun to pick up, I'd love to get him, but he would block Chytil from becoming the 2C. Just hoping Drury makes a good move as this will be the pivotal decision for the upcoming season, while having huge implications over the next few years.
