Description
This is a trade that makes sense for both teams. Tampa Bay supposedly won't be able to resign all of their RFA's and the addition of Jerabek and Sergachev makes Beaulieu expendable for Montreal. Offer sheet compensation for Johnson is a 1st and a 3rd therefore I think Beaulieu and a 2nd is good value for his rights.

Montreal needs Centers bad and Johnson would be a very nice addition. I could see this 1st line doing a lot of damage offensively.

The Draft pick is supposed to be 2017 not 2018.

        Not bad, but I think we'd need to throw in a little more for Johnson (maybe another 2nd rounder) , nor do I think he is a first line center yet... but I'm still willing to take the gamble!

        I also think Ott and Ryan are useless, and that getting "tougher" actually made us a worse team than we were previously.

        My goal isn't to get tougher, I resigned Ott because he is a great character guy, good on faceoffs and he is a leader in the locker room. His cap hit could be buried 100% in the minors. I didn't get white for toughness either, although he is tough haha. He is a great energy guy and he can actually play! Perfect for the 4th line.

        I agree with you, the addition of king was a bad move and trading andrighetto for martinsen was a loss as well in my opinion. I think Ott was a good addition though.

        I'm not a fan of Tyler Johnson but at that price I would give it a shot. And I wouldn't give any more for him.
