If you are dumping Walker, your title, and adding a back-up goalie at $4.9 million you are not getting anything back, let alone a #2.

It is simply a cap dump for a goalie who is getting payed way to much for below average season after below average season, and a defenseman who is constantly injured and won’t fit in there rebuild as they have many promising defensive prospects such as Sean Durzi, Brant Clarke, Jacob Moverare, Mikey Anderson, and Jordan Spence.

You have to give up assets to dump players, that’s how this works. You’re not getting anything back for 2 cap dumps. Devils are looking to compete very soon and don’t do cap dumps. Devils laugh
