They definitely aren’t trading Barron

I think to get a guy like Dubois, barron could be moved. I mean, they just moved Romanov to get dach. And barron isn’t as good as Romanov and neither is dach more valuable than Dubois.

As a Habs fan, I absolutely hate it. Much rather wait a year to pay less or try for him as a UFA. Or just not acquire him.

I also think you're dreaming on the Dillon trade and doubt Pittsburgh does that as well.

Dach I think would be a great add for Winnipeg, I think you get him out of the middle and try to set him up to break out, possibly a poor man’s laine.

Can you explain this to me, because I've seen lots of Habs fans say that they wouldn't trade Barron for PLD but to me at the trade deadline you traded Lehkonen for Barron + 2nd round pick, but now a few months later Barron is worth more than PLD.

So by this logic Lehkonen > PLD and I just can't wrap my head around it. I get not wanting to trade a guy but this just seems a little over the top. Am I missing something?

No, dach was not acquired to get PLD, and that's a ridiculous high price, fiala costed less than half thin this

I definitely don’t throw Chibrikov in there and I have zero interest in Dvorak. He’s a 3c at best and we have Barron, gus and Lowry already who can maybe fill that spot I just don’t see the need I’d rather take the Florida 1st next year. But I haven’t seen a trade that makes sense for both teams. Plus I really don’t think that Montreal is the only place he will sign. I think every player in this league would like to play somewhere hot especially while they’re contending for a cup and paying less in tax.

What about Logan Mailloux? You guys drafted him in the first round last year and then drafted Demitri Kostenko in the 3rd round. With those 2, Savard, Barron, Petry (maybe you get a RHD as part of the return for him) seems like there is enough RHD prospects around but again, that's just an outsiders view.
