Description
Pastrnak is now happy again with 2 of his buddies back so he signs an 8 year 9.5m deal. Also Bruce Cassidy is gone and suddenly Bergeron wants to return i stead of retiring and also Krejci has said he wants to return.

Of course the Krug trade is not realistic im not dumb but wouldn’t this team be sick tho?

Boston's options on Foligno are play him or trade him to a contender now that the buyout window is gone. There is no space on the roster for him in Columbus and he is going to block a trade to all 16 non-playoff teams from last year since he wants to compete for a cup.

I'd strongly consider that from a Blues perspective, but I know many Blues fans are more bullish on the Krug contract than I am.

If he wants to compete for a Cup he will need to get out of Boston. In no way, shape or form are the Bruins a Stanley Cup contender.

Maybe true. But there's no way they don't believe they are with Bergeron and Krejci re-signing. They're definitely giving it their all for one more try before everything blows up.

Just waive Foligno, save just over $1 million in space and move on.

Heh. The Blues, who are trying to upgrade LD, swapping their best one for two inferior ones. I wouldn't dig out the old Krug B's memes just yet. tears of joy

They are in fantasy land if they believe that. Trotting out basically the same team as last year and two years ago and they weren't close to good enough then. Sweeney has painted himself into a corner and he is going to take the easy way out when he should be making bold and tangible moves to prepare for the future right now.

Maybe true. But again, they wouldn't be bringing back Krejci and Bergeron to just miss the playoffs. The reality for the Bruins this year is that they're trying to win a cup one last time with the group they have.
