Detroit absolutely says yes IF they can have permission work out an extension ahead of time.

Montreal are already loaded on the left side and with bad contract.

Is Barbashev a top 4? I know nothing of his game. I'm guessing that since it is a 2nd going back, he is significantly better than Marcus Pettersson, who constantly gets thrown out there with Detroit giving up a 3rd for 4 years of a 4M cap hit bottom 4 D.

Yes he is, he just had a terrific year in St. Louis and would be given a better opportunity in Detroit

They’re most likely to lose atkeast 1 on that side

They already traded a 22 years old alexander Romanov because they have a deep prospect pool on that side. Edmundson, Guhle, Harris , Xehkaj, they added Lane Hutson. And they also don’t have the cap space to take on Scandela contract.

I'd pass. His defensive analytics are just brutal - 42.6% Corsi at even strength as well as a 43.39% xGF during the regular season, and it got worse during the playoffs. Add to that his 23.4% shooting percentage will very likely regress.

What's up with Perron? Reminds me of the Pavs situation a few years ago for us, I would think they'd want him back? With the numbers he puts up and 34 years old, what's wrong with 3x6?
