Every trade is getting sweetheart deal for Mtl & assuming more then 3 teams (Philly, maybe NJ & NYI) have a shot at Gaudreau. Even with all that considered, player in/out comparing start of 2021 season they are not significantly better (worse on defense, better on forward, significantly worse in goal). So if this all went perfectly they would have a bad team still? If trying to be bad why make soo many dramatic changes or bring in big FA?

Jets would definitely match that Dubois offer sheet. Four years of Dubois at a good price instead of a 1st and a 3rd would work for the Jets.
