Yeah, that's an overpay for Scandella. Also, Edvinsson doesn't spend a single day as a healthy scratch this season. Fabbri won't be ready for the start of the season and we will need another forward (or three) to fill out the roster. Luckily we already have Veleno who will likely make the team after spending most of the year in Detroit last year.

A 5th for Reilly and then a 2nd for Scandella? ST. Louis will likely have to pay to move Scandella's contract.

JP is better defensively but Abdelkader was more physical. So yeah about the same.
