Description

This is assuming GMBM is sticking to not spending salary for a possible regular season comeback for Backy and the eventual comeback for Wilson. This also assumes Hags is done.

I think this would be worst case scenario for the Caps. Having around $14.3mil sitting on LTIR with no defined timetable. This team is so weak down the middle. My ultimate want would be trade Eller, not sign Gagner, use that $4.5mil to sign a legit 3c who could potentially step up to be a 2c for a short time period, but doubt that happens

At least this goalie tandem is solid...

Is this a playoff team? Honestly, probably not, but maybe...?

One thing for certain is that the goaltending would be mightily improved. Might keep them in the playoff race until Wilson comes back.

Once Wilson comes back, this team wouldn't be all that bad. Great wingers, solid defense, solid goaltending - centers would still be eh at best though.
