Terrible signing. Sakic had Colorado in one of the best places in the Entire NHL when I came to cap management and this one isn't a good sign for the new GM

He was really good in Colorado this post-season, so this re-signing does not shock me. Makar and Manson is a fantastic RH duo.

This is a little more than his previous contract and its for a shut down, stanley cup champion, defenseman. I would say this is a win

Two great signings by Colorado. Helm and Manson are the kind of depth that are required for Stanley Cups.

At worst, year 3-4 will have similar production to Erik Johnson (who's still serviceable). I don't have any issue with this.

The new GM handled most of the cap stuff for Sakic as his assistant.
This isn't too bad, 10% raise from his previous contract. Perhaps would have been better with less term, but only time will tell.

Not far off from his old deal. Not too bad, some injury concerns but I think he'll last this contract.

This is probably what he's worth, but from an analytic team that was ELITE with their cap situation, this trade makes little sense. His analytics were bad.

I don't think Manson deserved a raise, at least not long-term at his age

Solid deal for both sides. Really don’t understand the negative feedback?

They got him at value for pretty reasonable term. No discount here, but that’s just fair all around. As a ducks fan I’m bummed, but good for him and COL

Brings an important physical element to the Colorado D core. Also got noticeably more comfortable in the system and improved as year progressed. Great player to bring back for the next few years

AAV is higher than what he was worth last season but I think the Avs are hoping he bounces back and plays closer to the elite DFD he was in Anaheim. RHD scarcity and the Avs unproven goalies also probably played a role but at the end of the day the Avs kept their entire D core right after a cup win

I think he couldve got more , but was a good fit in Colorado. Tough, and can skate- the perfect 2nd RHD on a contender. love this signing.

That previous contract was signed when he was 26 and he still had some offensive upside. This is a bad deal.
