i mean you have to go all in before mcdavid wants out... its better than 4.5 M for koskinen
and by the end when campbell falls apart, mcdavid will likely have asked out and theyll be rebuilding
I was thinking 4x$5M for him so this is a little longer than I'd throw at a 30 year old with only one season of being a full-time starter, but I think it's still okay - Campbell is an upgrade over the Smith/Skinner tandem and you hope he goes from being the starter to eventually handing the keys to Skinner on the back half of the deal.
Sub .900 sv% from Dec 1st until the end of the season and massively negative adjusted metrics.
Not a contract I'd have given him, but hey Kenny loves the Leafs sloppy seconds.
Also, totally no tampering here, just a normal 8 second contract negotiation
I think there is a one or two day window that teams can talk to agents before free agency opens. That is how Johnny hockey knew he was not going back to Calgary. His agent know that other teams were going to offer much more.

This simply isn't true. It's all just tampering that the league ignores.
My question is why (if they were just going to let it happen) would they drop the week to talk? The NHL folks
