Good 4th line option, Can bury it so not the end of the world. 3 years is weird though.

Thought he "priced himself out of Boston." $1M cap hit even for 3 years is a good deal. Effective 4th line player.

Okay but like, why 3 years? It probably won't matter bc its buriable but why sign depth to term?

voted NO for the term.
Not sure how this is an upgrade over Lammikko.
not a bad deal- but nothing to get excited about....at least its not like the Beagle/Roussell deals.

VAN just can't resist those gritty bottom sixers, can they? Still, this is the perfect cap hit for a player like Lazar.

Good for Lazar. Such a good guy. Glad he's been able to find his niche and carve out a role that he can really nail.

He's proven to be an NHL regular, so why not

He's proven to be an every day NHLer, so 3 years doesn't seem unreasonable

But depth only needs to lose 1 step to not be an NHLer. Term never makes sense

A 4th liner signed to a reasonable contract in free agency by the Canucks? I thought I'd never see the day

Why is Vancouver always signing fourth liners to terms? At least this time the AAV is good but why 3 years?

It's medium term as oppose to long-term. I've personally seen enough of Lazar to have confidence in this signing

They probably got him at a discount, because they were willing to sign him for three years.

Maybe a discount from what he was looking for, but that's not a discount for his production.

Considering some of the other signings we've seen, he probably could have gotten $1.25 million for 1 year.
