Even with Cirelli and Bogo, this isn't a cup contending team. Terrible decisions made today, but hey, they kept do nothing in the playoffs and take some more **** o-zone penalties Killorn!!

Why do you think that Cole Koepke cracks the lineup over Alex Barre-Boulet?

When fully healthy does Palat leaving indicate that Cirelli finally makes the top 6 permanently? Now that you have Nick Paul long term he can hold down the pivot spot on the 3rd line. Having Cirelli, Stamkos, Point is a big luxury in the top 6; add Kucherov, Killorn, and Hagel and that is still a dangerous top 2 lines; with Paul, Colton and Namestnikov on the 3rd and then Maroon-Bellemare-Perry (at least for 1 more year if healthy) and this is still a top 5 Eastern squad.

BB is a skill guy who's either going to have his skill translate in a Top 9 position or not make the starting roster.

I view Koepke as a Colton-type, but without the center ability. Could probably play anywhere in the Bottom 9.

I don't know what to make of Cirelli. He hasn't been very effective as a winger, and Stamkos was much more effective after moving from wing to center last year. Personally, I'd run Point, Stamkos, Cirelli down the middle. But Cirelli gets the PP1 spot over Killorn and ofc retains his primary PK role.

Thanks, the quality and center depth of TB is the biggest reason why I don't think they fall off anytime soon (along with very good D and great G). Coming from an Avs fan.

Seems like with Cirelli's injury you could put Paul at 3C and that opens up a spot for Barre-Boulet to try his best Palat impression and see if it works.

You know they say three strikes and you're out.
Barre-Boulet played the end of the 2021 season in Kucherov's spot.
Had every chance to earn a spot in Seattle last season.
If he doesn't make something happen with Cirelli out, then his future isn't with us and probably won't be in the NHL.
