If I could like a post, I'd like this.

    Lower the 2nd with a 3rd or 3rd + Damiani.

After Nemeth deal I concur that cap dumping is more expensive than we initially thought. Think 2nd is a must.

Nemeth is painfully way worse than Dobby though, with more term, plus he got fleeced.

I feel like Damiani+3rd would do it.

Makes no difference to me honestly

That 4 year cap hit for the Suter buyout is maybe worse than the contract itself. I'd rather trade Faksa and buyout Suter next year and save ourselves 2 years of OOF.

Nemeth has an additional year which is a big deal. Also NY got a decent prospect back in that deal. If the ask to take Dobby is more than a third I’m not interested

I think that Robertson will cost more if you want to lock him up for 8 years. His agent just has to look at the Robert Thomas signing.

Thomas is a center and slightly more established. I’d look at that deal for Hintz. JRob should be 500-750k cheaper imo

I think Dallas has to hold back on trades until Oettinger and Robertson are signed. Then maybe we can pull off a nice trade rather than buyout players. Certain teams might opt to tank this year.

Thomas has more games but he is also around the same age. In other words, it took way less time to Robertson to reach PPG level as well as scoring 41 goals.

He may not play center, but he is producing faster and higher than Thomas.

    He should get paid accordingly.
