Orrrrr you take barrie and foeggle for Laine. I think that's the deal!!! 2 for 1! You'll be number 2 in whole league with that trade

Jarmo and JD are imperceptible. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy whatever they figure out.

As an outsider and based off this lineup, moving Nyquist is the option that makes the most sense to me. I dont watch CBJ hockey so idk how important he is to CBJ but from what I do know about just NHL players, I'd definitely would keep Bjorkstrand over Nyquist. Nyquist on a rental deal too so return might not be as optimal of a return but probably the easiest to move out considering he's got 1 year left at a rather fair cap hit.

I wonder if Laine was giving signs of not being here long term. If that was the case, this move:
1) may entice Laine to sign here long term (& put Gus o the bus)
2) if not, let Laine go via offer sheet and stockpile a bunch of nice picks
3) who cares if we don’t have centers…6 wingers with 40 goals each will work just fine

It's a fair assessment. Nyquist has been very good for us, but he's the most sensible of a number of bittersweet options.
