So take more ice time away from the kids and continue to stunt their development? Laf and Kakko never got a fair shot at top 6 minutes because we held onto Kreider and signed Panarin prematurely when we were a year into the rebuild. They deserve a shot to develop with the time on ice that most if not all top draft picks get when they enter the league.

I don't regret it but it stunted the 1st and 2nd overall picks development. If the Rangers wanted to rebuild they should've done that by letting the kids play and develop before making any big signings. These are just the facts. No "rebuilding" team signs someone for the 2nd highest AAV in the league. I love Panarin, however, this rebuild is not as perfect as many see it. Igor carried us and now we are in cap hell with contracts with NMC with guys signed into their mid to late 30s. Detroit is rebuilding the right way. Let Seider and Raymond breakout and accumulate young prospects. Once you have the cap and those prospects break out you sign guys in FA. Panarin should've been the last piece needed, not the first piece brought in.

We have 3 first round picks who have all flashed their potential many times sitting on the 3rd line getting no PP time and 15 minutes a night. Two of which are "generational talents" taken 1st and 2nd overall. Not how you develop the "future" of your franchise.

Bro… we were 2 wins away from a Stanley Cup Final appearance and “The Kid Line” played a big role in that. I don’t think anyones growth is being stunted here. You sound ridiculous

Laf and Kakko need top 6 roles. Igor carried us into the playoffs and we beat teams who had back up goalies. Great run but face reality, the kids need to breakout next year if this team is gonna go anywhere and playing bottom 6 minutes with no PP time isn't gonna cut it unless Igor has another historic year.
