I think you'd regret not trading 2 mid round picks for Texier.

Meh... I'm not that impressed with him and I'd rather not trade to add to the logjam of prospects that block our own from getting ice time. The trade value itself is fine, just don't see the value it adds to Detroit. If you guys thought he was that good, you wouldn't be trading him.

I see what you're saying with your first point....but this is 1 ACGM. One person trading tex doesn't represent the majority of cbj opinions

Moving Tex would be nothing but a cap space move in order to re-sign Gavrikov. Tex is a good player, but Gavvy is a more valuable asset to bring back, especially with a lot of young forwards pushing for a roster spot.

Texier is one of the better ones. There are others who ought to move first.
