2017-18 Line up, key trades and depth chart

Created by: CanucksInsideTrack
Team: 2017-18 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: May 14, 2017

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Brodin could really help bridge the gap and make Edler much more expendable to trade at deadline, they won't give him away but may expose him to Vegas. The trades are straight forward and fair I believe. Fucale is another G prospect to add to the system.

Draft -
5th overall - Timothy Liljegren RHD
16th overall - Elias Pettersson - C - playmaker
33rd overall - Maxime Comtois - LW/RW - big, hits, can score

If we got these three I would consider the draft a huge success.

Signing Darren Raddysh would add some great depth as well.

First 4 lines and 6 D are my 2017-18 lines, the rest is the depth chart.

I, myself, think Brodin is one of the most underrated players in the whole NHL ... the guy moves the puck, gets i the way of the play, and does all the things a defenseman needs to do, however he is not seen as a top 2 defenseman by most people.

I know the low scoring Habs at times aren't happy with Galchenyuk. But he did score 44 points in 61 games, Sutter 34 points in 81 games. No way the Habs make that deal.
Can't Tanev by traded to another team besides the Leaf? Of course not. Not saying it is a bad deal, but the Leafs have cap room to acquire a Dman, without giving up a first rounder. And Nielsen has improved that he might be an NHLer soon

Always been a Brodin fan. I can't see MTL giving Galchenyuk up for that...and then signing a deal that low.
