Description

Trading expiring contracts for draft picks if young players step up/force way into the team. Teams can be any cup contender.

Suter could net a 1st to a team desperate for a good 3rd line center.
Maatta could net a nice return if he has a good 1st half of the season.
I like Sunny but with Berggren and Soderblom pushing for spots and Fabbri eventually coming off the IR, it could force him out.
IDK what the market would be for Erne, Smith, and Oesterle, maybe a late pick but I’m not sure.
I think Bert, Larkin, Ned, Veleno, and Lindstrom get extended.

This really doesn't get Detroit any closer to competing. These look like you're making trades to make trades. Value wise 2nd >>> Maatta, 1st >>> Suter + 3rd and 4th maybe = Sundqvist but not the team that just traded him.
