Lou would agree to make the trade but wouldn’t announce it until September

Honestly if there’s no term left on the open market (see: Nino getting 2 years), and we can dump Zaitsev, I’d love Klingberg on the Sens on a deal similar to the Hall contract (1 year at 6-8mil). We can certainly afford it this year, and then hopefully JBD or Thomson is ready for 2nd pair duties next year.

Nope. They already penciled him on the 2nd pair with Zub

they may play him there but hes not top 4 yet. if they want to pass the leafs they need 2 established guys

I don’t think it’s out of the question for Sanderson to have a Seider-level rookie year. He’ll probably be on the PK right away, maybe PP2, and playing top 4 minutes at even strength. He was arguably the best player outside the NHL last year. His upside is as a #1 D. He probably won’t be that next year, but I think it’s well within reason for him to be a good top 4 D.

Pretty much what I think. Seider and McAvoy both stepped into the top 4 right away. So did Makar . It’s not out of the question for him to do it

seems a bit of a stretch. very rarely a rookie dman has a season like seider.

top four of chabot, zub, sanderson, and x is probably only puts ottawa's d ahead of montreal and buffalo in that division.

i think they should start him on the 3rd pair like avs did with byram this season.

I don’t agree. Sanderson is as good as they come. Has been elite defensively since his draft year. He’s gonna have the reins to take over

i dont agree. they should take advantage of his elc and bring in two top 4 guys while giroux is still productive. it would give the sens a great shot at a serious playoff run.

They won’t have money for that since Debrincat and Stutzle need extensions and Zub too

Around 5. Pinto will get a couple mill more. Stutzle and Debrincat will get 9 each

Idk what the new Sharks front office is doing but it doesn't really inspire confidence

It inspires picking “Boucher” at 4th OA in the 2023 Draft

seems a bit steep. norris, thomas, fiala, hughes, tkachuk, and suzuki all just got around $8m.

Hughes deal was a steal. Stutzle won’t be taking a discount after putting up 75-85 at 21 years old this year. Stutzle is better than Tkachuk or Norris

Hughes was a steal. Stutzle is better than the rest. He’ll be closer to Hughes than anyone else tbh

I actually can’t believe San Jose is considering letting Quinn manage Eklund Merkley Bordeleau - with Knyzhov, Hatakka, Coe, Wiesblatt, Gushchin all breathing down the Sharks necks if they play well with the Cuda.

It’s sad.

If Formenton and Brown could finish, he would’ve had 65-70pts at 20 years old

i guess it's a waiting game now. right now he's not better than the rest but he could potentially get there by the end of the season.

I don’t think a single Sens fan would be shocked if he put up 90pts this year. Not saying he’s gonna do it , just that there would be no shock
