Like this pick a lot. Bit more of a swing on upside than some mid round picks they've had. Transitional play, skating, offensive upside all there. Plus he said he grew up watching Thomas Chabot at the World Juniors, and he's his favourite player.

"Grew up watching Thomas Chabot" makes me feel older than old.

This is the only draft pick we made that I really liked this year, he was a steal at 87 in my books. He has a very good chance to be a reliable 2-way guy, likely fighting for the 3LD spot with Kleven in the long term. Very good pickup, and I think his contract can slide twice. I reckon he’ll probably get loaned to stay in Liiga for at least one season, maybe two, before coming over to the AHL. It will be exciting to see him play for Czechia at the WJC, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a top 4 role for them (probably second pair behind Svozil-Jiricek unless he gets bumped down by older guys, he’s definitely got higher upside than any other Czech D though so where he plays will be interesting), and he’s eligible for 3 more tournaments (the one next month, the 2023 tourney in December, and the 2024 tourney as well, where he will very likely be their #1 blueliner).

Exciting skill but could be a real project. Apparently he had the worst showing in the skating/endurance drills as per sens prospects twitter from the recent dev camp. I think the first two picks are heading to college and unable to sign so this seems like more of a publicity signing. If he played pro in Europe last year I wonder if he is eligible to come straight to the AHL. Congratulations to the kid.
