He was so bad in Minnesota, I wish Toronto well with him. He is not an NHL guy even as a 7th

Smart move signing Mete, it made this one seem marginally better, I guess.

I wonder if the player - benn or mete, knew about the others signing, because this just means more competition for icetime in the nhl vs being stuck in the minors.

Dislike the guy but he's a solid stay-at-home defender. Good replacement for Lyubushkin

Why is Dubas signing players so he can lose them on waivers... maybe he should have brought back Adam Brooks instead.

Dubas just did, by signing him.

So you're admitting Dubas Leafs are very down bad.

In general the 7th dman doesnt have to be good lul

As if they are normally they want out of their teams as nobody want to sit in the pressbox especially when they are good and want to contribute.

He was signed to lay out hits thats really it

signing a player for the ahl is not the same as claiming them off waivers to be on your nhl team

I think he is exactly what you want as a 7th/8th Dman...
Experienced veteran who can use the body a bit, block some shots, and play whatever role needed if needed... And at league min..
He's probably more like an 8/9 tbh.

Not sure how anyone can dislike this move

Who cares if he loses them on waivers? He didn't give up anything to get them.
