The Jets would get a similar value at the TDL 2 years from now for Dubois as a rental, so I think this is turned down fairly quickly.

If Dubois was available for this little, he'd have been traded already.

Considering Dubois want to came in MTL when i'll be UFA, I would not give Farrell.
Maybe other prospect like Luke Tuch, Oliver Kapanen, Jesse Ylonen, but not Farrell.

As much as I would LOVE to add a guy like Farrell to our prospect pool, I worry that being a USA college player, he might not sign in WPG so I would opt for Roy/Kidney/Ylonen instead.

I think the offer is pretty fair, although I would rather move someone like Ylonen or Kapanen than Farrell as well. I do think that Montreal has got to have the 1st top 10 protected though. We just can't afford to move a 1st without protection even if the odds of it being a low pick are less than 25%.

Roy would be a definite no for me, either of the other two are fine but Roy has the potential to be a similar player to Marner. I don't mean skill/point wise, I mean a winger who drives the play with high skill.

I figured someone would say that haha, I would be fine with either Kidney/Ylonen.

kidney would be a fair midpoint. Ylonen is starting to gain age, so he's not the best option for WPG I would say

Kidney would be a great addition if you needed a center with 2nd line potential and I am guessing that if Dubois was moved and the Jets head into a rebuild they would definitely look at a player like Kidney as a replacement.

The Following is from Dobber Prospects

April 2022 – Kidney has produced very well in his D+1 season in the QMJHL on an excellent Acadie Bathurst team, building upon his hot streak in last year’s playoffs. Kidney is a talented playmaker with good hands and skill. He has scored his fair share of highlight-reel goals this season, but concerns about his projectability remain. While Kidney has the skill to exploit QMJHL-level defence, he relies upon the extra time and space he will not have at the pro level. He is also pushed to the perimeter in the offensive zone on almost every possession. Struggling to attack the middle against the weak defences of the QMJHL demonstrates Kidney’s biggest hurdle in transitioning his offensive skill and production to the next level. However, if he is able to adapt his game and learn to attack the middle with his hands and his playmaking abilities, he has the upside to turn into a creative second liner. Sebastian High
