Description
DETROIT DEAL
Konecny and Provorov each land a first and prospect, took a few cap dumps (Fabbri isn’t a terrible dump because he is a good player but he can’t stay healthy so figured it made sense) which is where the 2nd came in plus a little extra value for the prospects
*FIRSTS ARE TOP 10 protected, forgot to do that

OTTAWA DEAL
Sanhiem grabs a first and a prospect imo, TDA retained for 2 years I figured maybe another prospect, then a 3rd prospect for the cap dumps with a puck going back… idk

With Detroit not even being a playoff team yet. They are in no position to trade 5 or maybe 4.5 assets for 2 players.

You don’t think they are a playoff team after this off-season? Figured they’d be close and with all that cap space would be able to make a few big moves to contend

I get the idea for the Sens but I think maybe you asked for a prospect too much or have to up that 3rd a bit

Ottawa would have no interest in a Sanheim rental. Left side already has Chabot and Sanderson in the top 4 and Brannstrom/Holden rotating in on the bottom pairing. DeAngelo at 50% retained (despite character being a massive red flag) is appealing but that's not worth Thomson, Ostapchuk, Lodin, '23 1st and Watson... even with the Zaitsev dump attached.

Watson was a dump as well, most people who make these line ups have him buried in the minors so added him for that

Sanhiem holds the most value in that offer, shouldn’t be hard to re-sign but figure he moves Sanderson down to improve your depth and gives a high end 2-way D to the team… but yeah, if you’re not in on Sanhiem I get it lol

I don't think we moved ahead of Florida, Tampa Bay or Toronto. So is Detroit better that all but one of these teams Boston, Ottawa, Buffalo, Montreal, Washington, Columbus, NYI, NJ and Philly?

For the Metropolitan Division I went with the 3 at the top last year so you could switch Pittsburgh out with a different team but for my argument I don't think matters very much Carolina and NYR are still at the top. Detroit wasn't the only team in the Eastern Conference to improve.
