Agreed. Too steep a price for Chychrun. A cheaper LD option will emerge as the season gets closer. Unsigned UFA's or even waivers claim.

Kulak playing 3D with Broberg next year would be a massive step from last years defensive depth. It’s time for the oilers to be ok with trading picks/prospects for good NHL players. Holloway is still 2-3 years from being a impact NHL player, and JP is most likely not coming back. As for Lavoie, Foegele and the 1st, they are all expendable assets. In return you get a 2/4D on a great contract for 3 more years. What’s not to like?
