our 4th line is pretty unpredictable, he's either gonna be on the 4th line, 13th, or in the minors. and all those options are good for him. But welcome Mackenzie

Solid depth signing. MacEachern has some NHL experience, and it looks like he had a pretty solid AHL playoff campaign last season. Could be in the mix for that 13th forward spot. We'll see how he does in training camp.

It’s a 2-way contract so I figured they're bringing him in to help replenish the Wolves, but you may be right. It looks like there might be one spot up for grabs on the 4th line (though it will probably go to a guy who can play center), plus the 13th forward, and that 115 games of NHL experience will help if they need an injury call-up. He could be this season’s Josh Leivo. Low-risk signing anyway. Worst case they lose him on waivers trying to send him down, but they didn't give up anything for him, so that would be no harm done.
