You guys are missing the point of the Smith trade. Devils have too many LHD in the system, it was very unlikely that Ty would be apart of the future.

Severson is a top 20 defenseman in my eyes, who now seems to be on the way out, and if his contract status lessons his return I'd take that. I find him to be a great fit in Winnipeg.
