Im gonna say it, I think Severson has more value than Miller. I would be totally ok if the Canucks traded, say, Miller and a 2nd for Severson. Both with extensions.

Rental for rental. Devils don't extend Miller in this scenario imo.

An underperforming second pair d man is more valuable than Miller who just put up 99 points? Same age, both rentals, can’t use that excuse. If you think Severson is more value then I don’t know what to say to you. That’s pure nonsense

Take out the 2nd. I also think that Severson is too old for the Canucks to be interested in

Underperforming? Where'd you get that from

I could see it being like the Taylor Hall, Adam Larson trade but that would be kinda disappointing for Nucks fans Honestly Miller did have 99 points last season.

Why not? Why wouldn't you extend a player you have more than enough cap space to do so.

He's 27 he's just going to get paid as an FA if he doesn't get traded.

I think he's likely going to decline and the contract won't be worth it

I think VAN considers this with the picks included. Not if it's straight up player-for-player though.

Just Severson for Miller, no picks, if anything.

This take clearly shows how little you know because Severson just had the best season of his career.

Yeah? Better than JT Miller’s career high 99 points this past season? Top 10 in points in the whole NHL.

Canucks decline easily. Miller is better than Severson and the gap is huge

He's less than a month away from turning 28. Canucks are looking for players 26 and under. I don't think he fits there timeline.

It would be a hockey trade…wouldn’t be a 1st attached.

And the demand for top RHD is very high, supply is low. Demand for wingers is lower, and plenty of supply. Not my rules, just the way it is.

Canucks take their business elsewhere. It would be a waste of a nearly 100 point player

Exactly. I think Miller is worth more but we saw with Debrincat, if you dont have leverage, its tough. Vancouver desperately needs to move on with picks. Its a decent offer, I think, as a neutral observer. Miller is clearly an elite player now. Severson would never be enough even in a sell low.

If one were to tell me Severson is going to Vancouver, Garland would be my guess in a return.

First you say he’s underperforming then change it to “well he didn’t have a season as good as miller’s last year.” talk about shifting the goalposts

If you want to justify a 1 for 1 trade, both my points stand. No matter which way you put it, Miller is the far superior player

I don’t want Severson but Garland would be more fair than sending out Miller

That is a more even trade, but VAN would still likely have to ship out another contract before next year to re-sign Severson.

I didn’t justify anything I’m just pointing out you changing your stances. Can you guys extend or trade Miller already so I can stop hearing from Canucks fans about him?
