We certainly aren't taking your garbage in Khudobin deal to make it work...

And truly, none of that "quantity" offer is very interesting.

I don't think we are a match.

Best young asset you have available. I don’t think NJD would look for picks or take a cap dump.

I think realistically it would start with Maverick Bourque or and like a 2nd, I am very confident Severson is going to be a hot commodity especially at the TDL that the starting price is realistically a 1st and a blue chip prospect. Severson plays a premium possession, is a huge minute muncher and had a fantastic season last year, especially if the devils retain half his salary, price will be high

I veeeery much doubt that but we'll see. That doesn't seem like a rental type value to me.

Manson deal is going to hit much closer to home in terms of value if I had to make a prediction now.

At the TDL he will fetch more than Chiraot and maybe Lindholm too

I'll very much doubt that too.

He doesn't have the similar reputation that got those two the deals they got. Chiarot was considered a great playoff performer and Lindholm had rep for being a top pair D-man (not that I agree with the notion).

I guess will revisit this when a Severson trade comes in haha

Dellandrea is basically that. Solid two way C prospect bit stuck in our system. I'd argue the value is close to Ty Smith, maybe a tad less due to not having much NHL experience yet. Same aged guy and Dellandrea was drafted earlier than he was fwiw.

Gleason is also NHL ready guy, scoring 40 points in AHL as a D-man.

Dobby needed to be included for cap reasons, and given he has only one year left taking him shouldn't be a problem for NJ.

Depends on your expectations.

2nd pair rental D-men should not be worth arm and leg.

He's a top 4 RHD. Probably the hardest position to find rn in entire game

You aren’t getting Bourque for a second pair d on an expiring contract. Lmao

Bingo. I can’t help but notice all the Montreal fans got quiet after that Petry trade. They wanted Bourque too. Bwahahahahaha

Well petry had an awful year, makes a lot of money, is 34 and has 3 more years with a NMC.. so yeah I think everybody knew they weren’t getting anything crazy for him

Tell that to all of the Montreal fans for the past few months. He was soooooo much better after the coaching change and is worth all the things (vomit)

And you have four of them (if Nemec is NHL ready).

Just thinking that based on the Marino return the price is not THAT high. This is close to equal to that, and Severson is also a rental compared to Marino who had five of them.

Fwiw Severson also had a outlier of a year and managed to be around just as good as Petry has been on the regular. And he's a rental.

Nemec won't be ready. Severson is better than Marino, he just fits the window better than Severson who'll want a 5+ year extension.

This trade is pretty much Dellandrea for Severson straight up. Devils will get better offers than that, if they don't I'd rather just keep him for a potential playoff run.

I really would like Nill to go fetch another RD so that we could play Miro on his strong side.

And seeing Suter eating nachos is priceless.

But, my guess is that Nill is done and will say to DeBoer that his 1st pair RD is Heiskanen.

Nill is as inactive in trades then a 98 years old man is in sex. Never saw a GM so actively passive than him. It’s like calling other GM is a pain.

Our D will be a probable disaster after the first quarter and Nill will panic and trade one out of our blue chip for a Severson’s type of D.

Gleason would be waived 100%, there's no room for him. There are picks going the other way and it's Severson at half retained.

Low picks but sure. And yeah unfortunately DAL is pretty cap strapped.
