There's no reason to believe Tage can't score 30+ again which is a more realistic expectation. He has expressed how much he wants to be in Buffalo and to be a part of the teams future.

Nylander is a good winger, but he's also a couple years older and has a higher chance of simply going UFA in 2 years than Tage who would still be a year away. Teams like Buffalo get better by growing their own players who want to be there, not by trading them away for players who could walk in 2 years.
