Fills the goaltending need with very solid prospect and proven young nhler and fill the void of hughes to an extent. Nucks need some type pf change to get over the top and there are 2 key pieces there

What kinda of dumb f**ken trade is this?

First Gardiner is a pay to dump contract. We don't want Raanta at all. We have Demko who is a legit top 10, maybe even closer to top 5 goalie in the NHL. Necas, Orr and a projected 24-32 first rounder in 24 is no where near Hughes value AT ALL. You're miles off Hughes' value there.

This is not a fair trade for Vancouver at all... You're literally getting a franchise corner stone key piece. And Vancouver would be getting a ****ty magic bean in the 24 first, a horrible contract in Gardiner, an older goalie we don't need at all, some nobody prospect (I don't even know who the hell this Orr is.. soo yeh that speaks to how well he's known). And the only worth while piece is Necas, but we don't want him if we're moving Hughes and not getting a equally franchise key piece in return.

Well its a modified ntc which means if he okays the trade there is no buyout or penalty lmao and for your goalie argument i didnt know goalies play all 82 games… now for Orr he is a young up and coming prospect 19yo prob why you havnt heard of him and we all know what Necas can bring to the table after his first underperforming year..

Gardiner is a worthless piece in this trade. More a negative than anything. So that's not a key piece. And Spencer Martin is our backup, we don't need to spend 2m on a back up. So we've ruled out Raanta as a key piece now too. I know a lot about NHL prospect pools, your guy was a 5th rounder and has average seasons, especially for being 18. He's nothing special. Definitely not one of the "key pieces". That first rounder probably actually is a 28th-32nd pick when you add Hughes to that roster. That's pretty much a second rounder, mega magic beans that no one knows what they will be and wont even be NHL ready likely for 2-3 years passed draft. So what do you know, that's another not a "key piece"... We're 0/4.

Necas is the only thing in this trade that has appeal for Vancouver, and even then he's not a franchise level player. This trade you've proposed is "fair value" but you've literally put a franchise caliber offensive d-man in Carolina essentially for free.

If you really think this is fair value you really need to check your homer blinders off. The only "good" piece is Necas. The first and Raanta are okay. Orr is a project. And Gardiner is literally worthless in this trade. Your trade is more fair value for Miller though yes.
