The exact opposite of what the leafs need. They do not need defense unless it's a top pairing guy and that would be a luxury.
The leafs need more top 6 scoring, and at the very least a 3rd line scoring guy to replace mikheyev

They have the same problems we have… too many dman. They can’t make that trade

Yeah. I'm going through teams that check two boxes. Have too many middle six wingers and not enough D.

Vancouver is top of that list. How we haven’t made a deal with them is beyond me

There's no fit at all. Leafs could likely be going into next season with 5 LHD and 1 RHD as their starting 6 barring any significant changes.

They also can't afford to keep Kerfoot, that's why he's on the outs. A more expensive Pettersson with term doesn't make sense.
