Good value. He was excellent with Vegas, so I’m excited to see how this goes.

Perfect fit for Edmonton as 4th line LW. Cheap too.

Excellent, cheap depth pickup. Oilers might actually have players outside their top 6 score this coming season.

While I like the value at 1.25M the Oilers just added another non-physical winger to the bottom 6. Janmark, McLeod, Ryan and Nuge combined for ~140 hits last year. Kassian had 154 and Foegele had 127. I feel Oilers will need at least 1 physical like Motte/Aston-Reece or Bastian(trade) to replace Ryan/Shore.

Good value for a 4th line player. And since he can play the centre and left wing, it adds flexibility.

Yeah absolutely, but that's all going to change when he trades Pulji for scraps.

He has 68k to sign Pulji, Yamamoto, McLeod, so let's see what happens.

It's been good, compared to what he's usually done... but I don't like that Campbell signing.

Kelfbom and Smith are going on LTIR and it is getting less and less likely everyday that Holland trades JP

Not bad Holland. Was hoping the Leafs would sign him to have the “Jan” line.

Why? The top-6 and most of the blueline can throw the body. The bottom six doesn't always have to be composed of muck-and-grind knuckle draggers that can't contribute to the NHL game.

Calls for Deslauriers or other brands of mustard for the fourth line are stale. The Oilers are miles improved by opting to run actual NHL players with skill and acumen on the bottom half of their forward corps. Their inability to beat Colorado didn't come down to the Oilers unwillingness or inability to hit, or to hit more than the Avalanche.

I'd love to have a guy like ZAR on the 4th line on a decent contract. Not so much for his pure physicality as for his shutdown ability (of which his physicality is part).

Johan Larsson would be another target - less physical, but a pretty good shutdown guy too. Danton Heinen is another I'd target... I don't dislike Janmark (I'm on record as saying I thought they should sign him last summer), but IMO he wasn't the #1 option available in that price range.

Yea, playing ability is key to whom ever they would get.. people are acting like I said Oilers need to sign Kurtis Gabriel or something. I just want some players in the bottom 6 that finish checks when it doesn't put them out of position.
