Team Explanation
Rangers are having a tough time with the cap 2022 and it will only get worse in 2023 and I see this team being the best it’s gonna get but realistically it will be worse than this.

VAN accepts. I accepted for them. Get a 40 goal guy for a 3rd.

I know you have a cap crunch but my man Kreider just put up 50 goals and you want to trade him for a third?

You think trouba is better than Karlsson? Yikes. Sharks don’t want his cap hit and really can’t afford it, not at the cost of a likely high 1st round pick. Trouba also has a no move so I highly doubt he accepts this lol.

The Sharks just traded a franchise icon and one of the most popular players in team history just to get out from some of his cap hit. There is 0% chance they'd give up a first round pick to get back a player with the same salary and an additional year.

You think Karlsson a 32 for 5 more years at 11.5M is better than troubas 8M? Yikes. thats why I said arguably, is Karlsson better offensively sure but trouba is easily a better two way dman

Buddy, you’re missing his entire point. He’s talking about for cap reasons. Sharks literally can’t take him, it would give us zero cap flexibility and another big contract. We would need to resign Bordeleau and Eklund before that contract is over

i think there are possibly designations for trouba to goto. not sure what the return would be but i think buffalo/detriot could take a swing at him with no retention

I don't see the Sharks paying a 1st for a dman they don't need to bail NYR out of cap hell.

Trouba is settling in. His stock should rise this season. With that said that trade isn't accepted. Rangers also get more for Kreider although I think he will regress this season.
