Kadri Stays

Created by: RFS_90

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 16, 2022

Description
If you asked me a week ago, I'd say there's no chance Kadri comes back... The longer this goes on, the more optimistic I am. He clearly wants to stay. That will take some work to figure out though. To be clear, I think Naz gets more than this on the open market... However, I think he takes a cut to stay in Denver.

Couldn't you keep Girard and trade Compher? He's a UFA next summer. You could sign Sam Gagner as a cheap UFA.

Trading Girard for pennies on the dollar is a bad idea. He was a high end D man before this season and I bet he returns to form next year when he is no longer playing through a back injury

So they aren't re-signing Laine? Or which players are they trading out because he's going to want probably $7.5-8M to play in Columbus.

Did I say Columbus, I meant Calgary.

I'd think if he's going to Calgary, he'd already have signed but maybe he ends up there anyhow. Thing is, Calgary needs to replace a scoring wing, not a center, so Niederreiter makes more sense than Kadri.
