If that’s his value the leafs would just keep Kerfoot

If Kerfoot played for any other team this would be considered an atrocity. 50 point top 6 winger that can play C gets a 2nd rounder, and maybe even a small sweetener over that.

I'd only want the Devils to consider this if WPG retained 40-50% of Wheeler's contract.
If not, then there are better returns out there for Severson.

I think the baseline is what Connor Brown got in a 2nd but I’d imagine they ask for a little more (depth player/mid prospect/extra pick)

Fwiw I'm a big fan of Heinola's game, think he'd be better on our third pair than any of Smith, Okhotiuk or Bahl, with a ton of room to further develop also.

To be fair Rick a lot of the Kerfoot slander on here comes from Leafs fans, I think he's worth a mid to late 2nd easy, maybe another later round pick thrown in for good measure.

Kerfoot's got his grade 10, it's not rocket appliances to understand that he's worth a 2nd, worst case ontario
