Imagine how insane Tampa would be if there wasn't a salary cap

Well not really. Tampa would not have financially survived years ago, like so many other NHL teams. Heck just might be a 20 team league.
League owners love the salary cap...cause it keeps franchises alive, even the ones that really don't make money.
Players love it, cause every franchise allow for 50 more guys having pro contracts making money.

State tax arbitrage provides a huge advantage to Tampa Bay.

Same Cap hit, but the player reward is far higher if they sign in Florida... Don't complain, it's a great advantage

Remember when Tampa abused LTIR and Kucherov and Stamkos were "healthy" for Game 1 of the playoffs, then went onto win the Covid Cup?
                Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I think they would’ve been fine even if the cap was rising like projected pre covid

Remember when the lighting eliminated the bruins in 5 without stamkos? That was the Covid cup
