PLD offer sheet

Description
Every team is allowed to talk to PLD and they all hear the same thing, he won't sign long term.

Now, let's say a contender wants him for one or two years (avs as kadri's replacement) they'd be better offering PLD 6.3M for 1 year which is 300k more than his qualifying offer, and just remember if the jets match it he can't be traded for a year based on the CBA rules .

That's why the jets have very little leverage when it comes to trading him to montreal, every contender would just be better off offer sheet him instead of a trade for him (cheaper than the asking price)

UMMM. You say you're under the cap limit with a 21 man roster...which really isn't that practical. And then if the bonuses are paid....Colorado might would have a decreased cap in 23/24

They have 1.6M in can space enough for 2 base salary players

You're right. But then how much of those bonuses get paid?....and no cap room in the 22/23, then the bonuses are paid as part of the 23/24 cap....reducing the eligible cap for 23/24.

Well... they need the shed cap and add a top 6 C ... so I'm a habs fan who created a unique idea and what i think is a fair trade

All I'm saying with bonuses its may not be cap compliant for Avs, And the Habs have added more cap too. They could over the cap with bonuses too.

There’s 0 chance the jets don’t match this offer sheet which locks Dubois in Winnipeg for all of next year. So there’s absolutely no chance he signs this it would have to be over 9mil which I can’t think of a contender who can afford that.

He'd have an even higher QO and will return even less... he's basically worth now as a rental without retention, jets should take the L that comes with the 1st and 3rd and move on... just like the habs did with kotkaniemi (they got the last laugh but at that moment they had to taks the L and move on) p.s. that's why they should be quick to trade him with a discount to montreal because no other team would (like i said its cheaper to offer sheet)
