Question, would this be considered a buy out or contract termination? With the Evander Kane situation, that affected the Sharks. With this, I feel like their contracts would be terminated based on the fact that it violates the NHL’s rules and guidelines for players under contract. (Not saying any sens player was).

Not sure, thus I chose buy out as a default.

That said. I would not be surprised if the looming bombshell of Forementon’s possible involvement could be preventing either a contract from extension, and/or perhaps even his rights in a D-man trade (ie Chychrun).

This is 100% speculation.
